We all know the BMW E39 door panels are not the best thing they have ever engineered. The panels have plastic attachment points on the back that become brittle and break. On these are these little gray clips, which if old or you push too hard on, can break as well, leaving your door panel loose.
Replace all your door panel clips with brand new ones. These are are the higher quality clips with the rubber gasket to prevent the door panels from rattling.
